The Sufi Path is a process of amanesis (remembrance, realization). In pre-eternity, God asked the spirits: Alastu bi Rabikum (Am I not your Lord)? When we come into this material existence, we forget about pre-eternity and the task of life is to remember our way back to the truth concerning the nature of our essential relationship with God. This process of remembering or recollecting is known as amanesis.

Your description of the core values of republicanism is interesting. It boils down to practicing the virtues of honesty and humility religiously. Interestingly this parallels the description of the ancient concept of economy - e.g. in Book 1 of The Politics - given by Aristotle which also boils down to the steadfast practice of honesty and humility. Oh how these ancient concepts have been perverted. Indeed, Aristotle lamented the perversion of economy even way back then where the perverting factor was – guess what? - money as an infinite store of wealth.
